Shooting vodka not a quick enough path to drunkenness for you? Try shooting it through your eye. “Vodka eyeballing,” is the latest drinking trend on Britain’s universities, it supposedly gives an instant high, although some wonder if “eyeballers” are already so drunk they convince themselves of a nonexistent effect. Those who do it claim that it induces the feeling of drunkenness and provides an instant high. The devastating long term damages it causes is becoming a big concern. British doctors are worried that the drinking habits of students are out of control. Melissa has left university last year and has a constantly watering left eye. This is not her only concern, the doctors had warned her that her eyesight can reduce when she gets older.

I do not understand why people would like to poor pure vodka in to their eyes to get drunk. When I read about eyeballing for the first time in a Dutch paper, I doubted if something as stupid as eyeballing could become a hype as big as this one but youtube took all my doubts away. Apparently some of us have to urge to get drunk as fast as possible even if it causes severe physical damage.

Oscar is probably not faster or stronger than he was before but he is certainly more bionic. Oscar lost is legs while he was enjoying the sun at an open field unaware of the combine harvester steaming towards his hind paws. Luckily he is back on his feet thanks to a world-first operation, Oscar is the first cat in the world with custom-made paw implants. Oscar is a case of science copying the natural world. The veterinary surgical team inserted the pegs by drilling them into one of Oscar's ankle bones in each of his back paws. The cat’s skin grows over a special "umbrella" at the end of the peg to form a seal against bacteria and potentially fatal infections.

Thank god for science! If my cat would have had a accident as horrible as this one, I would want her to have implants like Oscar has. Without the implants he would have been much more depended on humans because it harder to move around without his back paws. As human beings we have more power than animals, we should use our power and knowledge make their lives comfortable and help them were possible.

Did the vampire lose his toughness? Movies and books like the twilight saga are a big mainstream hit nowadays but some of us doubt if this does the ‘’vampire image’’ any good.Vampires should not be depicted as vegetarians, as they are by Meyer. In other books they tend to be quite neurotic. Bram Stoker's Dracula was entertaining because it was dark, multi-layered with violence that was inferred. Teen vampire fiction is spoiling the image of the vampire. Writers hope that mainstream culture would lose its interest in the undead so that vampire fiction could regain its potency. Many in the horror fiction community felt that the rise of glamorous, fanged creations in books and shows have helped to create a new generation of "softer" vampires.

I personally agree with the members of the horror fiction society, vampires ought to be evil mysterious creatures of the night and not self controlled vegetarian good guy s who try to save the les powerful. Vampires are turning in to the ‘’good guys’’ of the story this is not how they are supposed to be, it is like blue grass and green skies. I am pretty fed up with the vampire hype it is time to watch something else instead of another ‘’vampire love affair’’.

According to a research about lying men are bigger liars then women.The survey states that the average male tells 1,092 lies every year (roughly three a day), the average woman will come out with 728 lies a year ( 2 a day). Men said their lies were most likely to relate to their drinking habits, the most popular female lie is as innocent as can be; "Nothing's wrong, I'm fine." Lying seems to be an unavoidable part of human nature but still eats away in to a woman's conscience, Men are more ‘’guilt proof’’ only 70% admitted to feel guilty after telling a lie.

It surprised me that men lie more than woman because I always thought that men are more down to earth than women. It is funny to see that man lies and woman lies do not really differ much from each other. The lies are really recognizable. As a shopaholic I constantly lie about the prices of my new belongings.

Strawberries and cream, these days taken for granted were a true revolution in Tudors time.Combining the two was the work of the most powerful man in England at the time, Cardinal Wolsey, who used his new dish to impress the rich and powerful who came for the entertainment at the Hampton Court Palace. The dish was first served up in 1509 and this simple recipe has obviously stood the test of time. The original wild English strawberries were smaller and not as juicy as the strawberries we know nowadays.

Almost everyone enjoys strawberries covered in whipped cream on a nice summer day and apparently we are eating them throughout the centuries. I did not know that strawberries with cream are originally from the UK. I want to thank Cardinal Wolsey for combining the two ingredients, it is a true enrichment of life.

Two neo-Nazis who posted insulting messages on the internet about Jews and other ethnic minorities were convicted of inciting racial hatred today.Michael Heaton(42) and Trevor Hannington(58) are members of the so-called Aryan Strike Force.In one post they wrote that black people were "less intelligent than other species", and in another that Jews were leeches and "treacherous f****** scum".Both men are proud to call themselves National Socialist, or neo-Nazis.They pleaded guilty to inciting racial hatred using internet posts.

It is shocking to see that in there are still people who believe that the ‘’Aryan race’’ is superior.we live in a multicultural society, people have the freedom to believe in every god they like to believe in and this does not make them less worthy then others. I think only people who are easily influenced by others are sensitive for comments like these and might actually believe them. Someone with common sense is not going to believe in outdated nonsense like this.

According to the conservatives among us a woman in a bikini is not something you want to run in to on the street. The biggest part of society does not agree with them. This made me curious ,I would like to know when we think the media goes too far? Did we move our standards because of media like MTV and what happens if we go back in time in terms of nudity and sex in the media?

Scientists at the University of Montreal launched a search for men who had never looked at pornography but could not find any.
They wanted to compare the views of men in their twenties who had never been exposed to pornography with regular users . Prof Lajeunesse interviewed 20 heterosexual male students who watched/read pornography, and found the following information about the average man, they first watched pornography when they were 10 years old. Around 90 per cent of consumption was on the internet, while 10 per cent of material came from video stores or magazines. Single men watched pornography for an average of 40 minutes, three times a week, while those in relationships watched it 1.7 times a week for around 20 minutes.

I think it is hilarious that the scientist could not find a ‘’porn proof’’ man. This article will probably open the eyes of naïve girlfriends who think that their boyfriend is not that type of man. Remember girls boys will be boys!

This proves the cruelty of life, when someone is desperate to find his/her significant other and sees internet dating as a last resort. In all their desperateness they sign up at a decent dating site. After two days they get an e-mail saying that they are too ugly to date. However I agree with beautifulpeople.com if it comes to the appearance of a big part of the British people. I do not think that they are very health and body conscious.

SamCam comes in first in fashion polls. Blessed with a near-model figure, even though four months’ pregnant, long legs and a face that has a love affair with the camera. Sarah Brown comes in third, suffering under the handicap of being several sizes larger and seven years older, although she sometimes looked smart, too often revealed a tendency for skirts that were too tight, too full or too short, a weakness for horizontal stripes which do no favors to the pear-shaped, and an unfortunate fondness for belted cardigans.

I feel sorry for Sarah Brown because it must be hard to compete with woman who are almost ten years younger if it comes to appearance. Aging is not something a woman her age wants to be reminded of. Luckily there still is hope for Sarah Brown a facelift, liposuction, tummy tuck and maybe Botox can change a lot. Thank god for plastic surgery.

Third-party Back on Track!

The Friday night debate had a surprising outcome when Nick Clegg convinced the audience with his arguments. Nick choose to adapt his word choice and make it understandable and personal for the viewer. He emphasized the differences between himself and the ‘’other two’’. This way he underlined problems over immigration and crime caused by the failings of both Labour and Tory governments. The debate changed the perspective of the elections. Nick Clegg showed a innovative side of the Liberal Democrats this way he puts the third-party back in the spotlights.

I think Nick Clegg choose a smart way to approach his audience. He made the policies sound refreshing and different from the bigger parties. His style of speaking was rather informal if you compare it to the other politicians this made his speech attractive. This puts the third party back on track.

A 66-year-old man pleaded guilty today to having sex with a horse and a donkey.Joseph Squires appeared at Leicester Crown Court charged with abuse of a donkey between February 2 and February 5, 1999, and abuse of a horse between March 15 and 18, 2004.He also faced charges of damaging property, relating to the two animals on the same dates. Squires was due to stand trial but pleaded guilty to all four counts.

The idea of a grown man having sex with any kind of animal makes me sick.I am glad that the man choose a horse and donkey as his victims and not a small animal.If he had chosen a small animal, a chicken as an example. He would have injured the poor animal severely. I cannot imagen why people would want to have sex with animals. I am opinionated that this is one of the most disgusting desires you can have as human being. If you feel any desire whatsoever to animal sex, I recommend you to seek mental help a.s.a.p.

An eight year old boy whose father had brought him to the UK for a good education was found hanging. His 16 year old brother found him hanging from the bed. The boy had behavioral and emotional problems. He was described as a happy child who loved football and playing outdoors. But he did not like doing his schoolwork, with which he struggled. Before he passed away he was spotted with a swelling to his face. Although he did not have close friend he was quite popular and his death had much impact at the school. He was taken to Watford General Hospital where doctors tried for 45 minutes to resuscitate him but it was too late. His neck was swollen and he had a ligature mark on his neck. He had no other injuries. Therefore they are convinced it was suicide.

I was pretty shocked about the article. A boy his age should be playing and enjoying his life. Instead of being a child this boy made the decision to end his life. This must have been horrifying for his father. Burying your child is awful enough but finding your son hanging from his bed with his tongue sticking out must be devastating. I personally think that children are growing up to fast these days. This boy could not cope with the expectations everyone had. Children his age should not be worrying this much about their school results and their future career.
